The song is a homage to inner peace and a personal space of freedom, where one can simply be alone with oneself. It is inspired by the Swedish concept smultronställe, a special hidden place in nature known only to you, where you return to calm down, release burdens, and breathe freely again. Wild Strawberries uses gentle imagery to speak of letting go of fears and finding a quiet sanctuary where inner strength and serenity can grow.
