In Slovenian, BOSA means »bare foot«. And this is the feeling that the band’s music creates – freedom, lightness, earth, summer …

 

BOSA is an international musical band, focusing mainly on Brazilian sound. The rhythms and musical forms the band uses range from the lively samba and the intimate bossa nova to the less familiar rhythms from Brazil, like partido alto, baião, afroaxe or choro.

Initially, the band picked their songs from notable Brazilian authors and poets like Joao Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Edo Lobo, Milton Nascimento, Vinicius de Moraes and Pixinguinha. Now, the program includes more and more original compositions by Zvezdana and the band’s guitarist Marco da Costa, and popular music from Slovenia arranged with a Brazilian flair.
